Soccer Signee Named National Player-of-the-Week

UNC Wilmington womens's soccer signee Stephanie Rose (right) was named Girl's Soccer national Player-of-the-Week by ESPNRISE.com. The product of Jacksonville, N.C., scored two goals and added two assists as White Oak defeated Kings Mountain, 5-0, to win its fourth straight NCHSAA class 3-A crown and record its first perfect season (22-0). The North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association's Player-of-the-Year, Rose tallied 121 points on 50 goals and 21 assists in leading a White Oak squad that averaged more than seven goals a game. She was also named to the All-State Team for the third consecutive season and named NCHSAA Championship MVP for the second straight season. Click here to see the story
